FIFPRO member unions from the global player association’s regional divisions will gather in Bali, Indonesia for the 2024 FIFPRO General Assembly in November 2024.
The annual event enables FIFPRO and member unions to align on global strategy, reflect on the work done to help players over the last calendar year, and look ahead to the future to successfully serve the needs of members worldwide.
This year sees the General Assembly return to Division Asia/Oceania for the first time in five years when Professional Footballers Australia hosted the 2019 edition.
"It is a pleasure and privilege for APPI, Indonesia and Division Asia/Oceania to host this year's FIFPRO General Assembly in Bali – a place filled with stunning beauty and known as the ‘island of the gods’ (Pulau Dewata)," said Indonesian union APPI’s CEO Mohamad Hardika Aji.
"This event gives us the opportunity to highlight our support to our players, and to share knowledge and best-practice with player unions from across the world to better serve our members.”
While the FIFPRO General Assembly gives member unions the opportunity to engage at a global level, divisional meetings and break-out sessions also enable them to engage closely at regional level.
The event also sees the announcement of the FIFPRO Merit Award winners – in the categories Player Activism, Player Impact and Player Voice – as well as the Union Impact Award.
The exact dates of the General Assembly in November will be revealed next month.
