FIFPRO Europe is part of the Worlds Players’ Union FIFPRO and represents professional men’s and women’s footballers across Europe, through a network of 34 national player unions. Representing more than 35,000 players, FIFPRO Europe works to safeguard and advance players’ employment conditions within the European football industry.

In collaboration with its member unions, FIFPRO Europe engages with UEFA and other key stakeholders – including leagues, clubs, fans and institutional partners – to address workplace issues and promote fair, safe and sustainable working environments for professional footballers across the region.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

The role is tasked with general support to the FIFPRO Europe General Secretary, President and board. You will be involved in the execution of FIFPRO Europe’s strategy and advancing the organisation’s priorities across the European football landscape. You will collaborate with the General Secretary in managing internal governance and administration, including member engagement.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Preparation and coordination of board meetings and general assemblies; support the implementation of board decisions
  • Coordination of specific projects and workstreams within the division; support for division-facing projects led by FIFPRO departments.
  • Internal communication to FIFPRO Europe board members and member unions, in close collaboration with the General Secretary; liaise with the FIFPRO Europe communications coordinator on the development and delivery of division-facing external communications.
  • Support FIFPRO Europe’s engagement with external stakeholders (e.g. UEFA, clubs, leagues, fans) and increase visibility and influence of the division.
  • Support the division’s compliance with internal regulations and good governance, in close collaboration with the FIFPRO Europe General Secretary and the FIFPRO legal department.
  • Align and coordinate divisional information and activities to ensure an integrated delivery of FIFPRO activities; act as a touchpoint for FIFPRO departments/staff in division-related matters.
  • Travel internationally, when necessary, to coordinate meetings and gatherings related to the role.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor or Master’s degree in sports management, international relations or relevant field.
  • 2-4 years of professional experience.
  • Detailed knowledge of the European football landscape.
  • Experience in project coordination.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office 365 and online project management/collaboration tools (Teams, Asana, etc).
  • Multilingual (English is the working language and French is preferred in both written and spoken form).
