  • Four Manchester City players were voted into the 2024 FIFPRO Men’s World 11 in December

  • Over 21,000 men’s football players voted for their world team of the year

  • The World 11 is the only global football award decided exclusively by the players

Four Manchester City stars have been presented with their FIFPRO Men’s World 11 trophies by a FIFPRO and PFA delegation in Manchester, England.

Kevin De Bruyne, Ederson, Erling Haaland and Rodri were voted into the 2024 FIFPRO World 11 in December; over 21,000 professional men’s football players from 70 countries selected their team of the year based on performances from 21 August 2023 to 14 July 2024 inclusive.

Since 2005, FIFPRO has invited the world’s professional footballers to choose their World 11. It is the only global football award decided exclusively by the players.

The City quartet received their World 11 trophies from FIFPRO Secretary General Alex Phillips, FIFPRO Director of Union and Player Relations Benjamin van den Broek and PFA’s Director of Player Services Simon Barker.

A trophy that truly celebrates the collective

De Bruyne, Ederson, Haaland and Rodri were presented with the new-look World 11 trophy that truly captures the collective spirit of the World 11.

Each individual trophy is an elegant representation of the number ‘1’, symbolising that each player is, in the eyes of their peers, the best in their position on the pitch. When all 11 trophies come together, they form a larger prize representing the entire World 11—celebrating the power of the team.

Designed by the award-winning studio xCruza at their Argentinian base, the trophies when gathered form an Abrazo de Gol (Goal Hug) embodying the essence of football: a single gesture where the team's spirit merges.
