All over the world, representatives of professional footballers associations are travelling from club to club, to invite players to vote for the FIFA FIFPro World XI 2012. Today news from the Netherlands.

Representatives of the Dutch players’ union VVCS and FIFPro visited NEC, a club from the Dutch premier league. Currently, the club from Nijmegen ranks 12th in the 18-team division. Almost all players from NEC immediately filled in their ballot.

FIFPro requested four players to help convince their colleagues in the Netherlands and from all over the world to pick their FIFA FIFPro World XI. Rémy Amieux, Gábor Babos, Kevin Conboy and Rens van Eijden participated enthusiastically, speaking in their own language to their fellow professional footballers.

Gábor Babos is a 38-year old goalkeeper from Hungary. He is also captain of the team and a former member of the Hungarian national team (27 caps). In his 21st year as a professional goalkeeper, he is still a mainstay: Babos has played all matches this season.

Rens van Eijden and Kevin Conboy are two other integral parts of NEC’s defence. Van Eijden is a 24-year old central defender from Holland, Conboy a 25-year old left back from Denmark. Rémy Amieux, a 26-year old defender from France, is mostly used as a substitute by coach Alex Pastoor.
