All over the world, representatives of professional footballers associations are travelling from club to club, to invite players to participate in the vote for the FIFA FIFPro World XI 2012. Today news from Ukraine.

In Ukraine, the vote for the FIFA FIFPro World XI was launched by the players from Arsenal Kyiv. Representatives of the All Ukrainian Professional Footballers Association visited the Premier League side from Kiev.

Among the players voting were Maxym Shatskih and Dominic Adiyiah. Shatskih is the captain of Arsenal. He is a renowned scoring machine, who has spent ten years at Dynamo Kiev and signed at Arsenal in 2010. While at Dynamo Kiev, he won the Ukrainian Premier League scoring title twice: in the 1999-2000 season and in the 2002-2003 season. This season he has scored four times.

The 34-year old Shatskih is the second best goalscorer in the history of the Ukrainian Premier League, trailing only Serhiy Rebrov. He has played 60 matches for the national team of Uzbekistan and is his country’s top goal scorer with 34 goals.

The 22-year old Adiyiah is still a young player, but the striker has already played in many countries: Ghana, Italy, Serbia, Norway and now Ukraine. He was the sensation during the 2009 FIFA U-20 World Cup, scoring 8 goals in 7 matches and leading his country to the golden medal, and picking up the trophies for Best Player and Top Goalscorer.

Arsenal Kiev signed Adiyiah from AC Milan, and in Ukraine he finally hopes to become a regular. This season the Ghanaian striker has played 11 matches and scored three goals for the current number 5 of Ukraine.
