Show Racism the Red Card launched its 2010/2011 activities in Ireland. The Irish professional footballers association (PFAI) was well represented at the event on September 22nd at  Tallaght Stadium, the home of Shamrock Rovers.

On behalf of the PFAI general secretary Stephen McGuinness and delegate liaison officer Ollie Cahill attended the launch of Show Racism the Red Card’s 2010/2011 activities. The players’ union also organised the attendance of Shamrock Rovers defender Aidan Price, St Patrick's Athletic forward Ryan Guy and Sporting Fingal forward Eamon Zayed.

The launch was a great success. Show Racism the Red Card co-ordinator, Garrett Mullan, organised the attendance of over 150 school children from several schools. And these kids showed great enthusiasm during their question and answer session with the footballers, much to the delight of all other guests.

The event was sponsored by the embassy of the United States of America and was attended by the US chargé d'affaires, John Hennessey Niland, as well as the Minister for Integration Mary White, and the mayor of South Dublin, Eamon Maloney. Basketball Ireland was represented by Jolie Niland.
