In Hungary, players of Vasas Budapest and the Hungarian national football team took part in the vote for the 2011 FIFA FIFPro World XI.

Next Tuesday, Hungary has to beat Finland in order to qualify for the play-offs for Euro 2012. The Hungarians are in a tight battle with Sweden to secure the second place behind the Netherlands, who are already qualified and have all but captured the first place.

Although the game is very important, the Hungarian players agreed to participate in the vote for this year’s World XI. Among the players who composed their favourite line-up were Roland Juhász (Anderlecht, Belgium, 66 caps), Krisztián Vadócz (NEC, the Netherlands, 39 caps), Peter Czvitkovics (KV Kortrijk, Belgium, 9 caps) and Gergely Rudolf (Panathinaikos, Greece, 23 caps).

Last week, most of the players from Vasas Budapest filled in their ballots, such as midfielder Dávid Kulcsár, and strikers Csaba Ferkó and Gergö Beliczky.

HLSZ representatives will be travelling through Hungary with the FIFPro ballots in order to give all professional footballers in Hungary the opportunity to vote for the 2011 FIFA FIFPro World XI.
