Representatives of professional footballers' associations are travelling all over the world to invite players to participate in the vote for the FIFA FIFPro World XI 2013. Players from the Danish Superliga voted last week.

The players enjoyed themselves while voting for FIFPro World XI. They were not afraid to consult each other and compare teams in the process. Even though they were from different clubs, the players got along really well and had a good time.

Players from five different clubs in the Danish Superliga and First Division, like FC Nordsjælland, Brøndby IF and Lyngby, visited the office of the Danish professional footballers association Spillerforeningen to vote for FIFA FIFPro World XI: amongst others Martin Albrechtsen, Rasmus Falk, Patrick Mortensen, Jens Stryger Larsen and Anders Christiansen.

For Brøndby defender Martin Albrechtsen a special match is coming up. The Danish international will play FC Copenhagen this weekend. For the last couple of decades, Brøndby IF and FC Copenhagen have been major rivals, and the rivalry between the two clubs has been dubbed "The New Firm" (after the Old Firm between Celtic and Glasgow Rangers in Scotland). Albrechtsen played for FC Copenhagen from 2002-2004, and he joined Brøndby IF in 2012. So he will be one of the few who has played ‘The New Firm’ for both clubs, alongside former players such as Peter Møller and Brian Laudrup.

Michael Falkesgaard will participate in the New Firm as well, but probably from the bench as he is not first choice goalkeeper for Brøndby IF.

Jens Stryger Larsen and Anders Christiansen from FC Nordsjælland will meet Randers this Monday. FC Nordsjælland has had a terrible start of the season, as they have suffered four consecutive losses. The 2012 champions need to win against Randers to escape from the foot of the table.
