All over the world, representatives of professional footballers associations are travelling from club to club, to invite players to participate in the vote for the FIFA FIFPro World XI 2012. Today news from Croatia.

The Croatian Footballers' Union (HUNS), recently admitted as full FIFPro member, has been collecting Croatian votes for the FIFA FIFPro World XI Award.

‘Players here have recognized that this is after all the most relevant selection of the world's 11 best footballers. They all gladly participated with their vote’, said HUNS president Dario Simic, who is  Croatia’s record holder with 100 appearances for the national team.

HUNS representatives have personally visited a total of ten Croatian football clubs, ranging from the Champions League participant GNK Dinamo Zagreb to 3rd division side NK Lekenik.

‘All the clubs we've visited have shown great hospitality towards the Union and its representatives, which makes us very happy. Official visits to clubs like NK Lekenik were about setting them as positive examples of respecting players' rights", added HUNS secretary general Mario Juric.
