The Colombian professional footballers’ association (Acolfutpro) and FIFPro Division America jointly organise the third international Legal Conference regarding professional football in America. The event will be held on Thursday 20 and Friday 21 August in Bogota, Colombia.

The conference features the presentation by FIFPro Secretary General Theo van Seggelen, who will discuss FIFPro’s point of view regarding the current FIFA Regulations on the status and transfer of players.

Another much anticipated presentation will be held by Omar Ongaro, Head of the FIFA Player Status Committee. He will talk about the latest changes to FIFA Regulations, more in specific the modifications concerning Third Party Ownership and Players’ Agents.

FIFPro America’s third international legal conference will address some of the foremost issues in American professional football. On the agenda are presentations about the current (legal) status of football and professional footballers in various American countries (Brazil, Spain, Peru and the United States) as there are significant differences between players’ contracts on both continents.

Special attention will be paid to the status of Colombian professional football and its most important actors, the football players.

The Legal Conference will be attended by legal experts and representatives of football clubs, football associations and American player unions. FIFPro Division America and Acolfutpro are also pleased to welcome Luis Bedoya, Conmebol Executive Committee Member and President of the Colombian FA (FCF).
