The Argentine players union’s “El Futbolista” foundation recently handed out 100 diplomas to footballers who successfully completed courses in the first quarter of the year.

Some 80 players graduated from a range of courses that included English, multimedia skills and restaurant cuisine.

Twenty more footballers finished their secondary-school education as part of the foundation’s long-running program.

“It enormously satisfying for everyone to achieve their targets,” the foundation’s president Carlos Pandolfi said.

The foundation is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year.

“It’s the best way to celebrate as we blow out the 25 candles,” Pandolfi added.
