- Take a look at the World 11 stars ready to take the global finals by storm
Of the 11 players voted by their fellow professionals into the 2022 FIFA FIFPRO Women's World 11, seven are preparing to make their mark at Australia/New Zealand 2023.
The World 11 celebrates the most outstanding players in the current game and is the only global player award decided exclusively by footballers.
Though Christane Endler, Leah Williamson, Mapi Leon and Beth Mead will not be competing at the Women's World Cup, their fellow World 11 stars will undoubtedly be looking to make their mark at the tournament and help inspire their respective countries to success.

Wendie Renard
Nation: France
Position: Defender
World 11 appearances: 7
What they said
"It's about consistency, hard work and teamwork," Renard, when reflecting on her record seventh World 11 appearance, told FIFPRO. "It's true there are players who are sometimes selected and receive individual trophies, but it's still a team sport. You have to keep working to get back there [in the World 11]."

Lena Oberdorf
Nation: Germany
Position: Midfield
World 11 appearances: 1
What they said
"We have the spirit and German discipline and we'll be better," said Oberdorf, who will be playing at her second Women's World Cup. "We didn't show our best football in the Euros because we were scoring more from counterattacks. We play good attacking football now."

Keira Walsh
Nation: England
Position: Midfield
World 11 appearances: 1
What they said
"I've got more confidence in myself and what I bring," said Walsh, who helped England to continental glory last year. "At the Euros I really enjoyed it, stayed in the moment, and hopefully that's what I'm going to do at the World Cup."

Sam Kerr
Nation: Australia
Position: Forward
World 11 appearances: 1
What they said
"I love the pressure, I love the big games and the big moments," said Kerr, who will be leading the line for the Women's World Cup co-hosts. "The point of this World Cup is to go there and win it but also to inspire the nation, do what the Lionesses did for England and the rest of the world. It's much bigger than football but we're ready to take it on and enjoy it!"

Alex Morgan
Nation: USA
Position: Forward
World 11 appearances: 5
What they said
"I do want to win another World Cup. I do want to win other Olympics. I do want to win an NWSL championship," said two-time World Cup winner Morgan.

Alexia Putellas
Nation: Spain
Position: Forward
World 11 appearances: 1
What they said
"The conclusion I've drawn from this injury, from the experience that I've had recently, is that it's a multi-factorial injury," Putellas, who missed last year's EURO and most of this season's domestic campaign due to an ACL injury, told FIFPRO. "I don't think it's a question of one factor. I don't attribute it to the fact that there is a lack of study. It's an injury that can depend on many things."
