The Czech association of professional footballers CAFH is supporting a special project in Kenya, that provides disadvantaged children with dental supplies.

In Kenya there are thousands of abandoned and disadvantaged children. Many of them have negative experiences associated with poverty, drugs or sexual abuse. Bearing this in mind, the Czech players association CAFH and its affiliated charitable organization Sport United are very glad to support these children.

‘In Africa, effective and sustainable projects are very important. Children in Kenya are struggling with shortages of medicine, school supplies, clothes or shoes’, CAFH chairman Karel Poborsky stated.

Sport United carried out its first project - dental supplies for disadvantaged children - in cooperation with the Children’s Rehabilitation Center in Nairobi (a center that helped to successfully socialize around 50 children) and with Profimed (a Czech dealer of high quality dental equipment).

This project aims to support dental hygiene for children in the Nairobi Center by supplying the Center with toothbrushes and other dental equipment. ‘For these children, basic dental hygiene is very important. This support will help to bring about basic dental hygienic practices’, Marketa Haindlova, vice-chairperson of CAFH, explained.

The CAFH is the founder of Sport United, which is a newlnon-profit charitable organization that provides opportunities for many projects to support children in the Czech Republic as well as in other countries. The joint project with Profimed in Kenya is the first activity of this charitable organization.

‘Many children need a helping hand and Sport United will continue to provide a wide range of projects that support the mission of this charitable organization’, Karel Poborsky concluded.
