Professional career
Louis studied Business Law at the University of Leiden, with the specialization Sports and Law. He worked for four years at the Sportsmarketing Topsportsgroup before he joined the Dutch players’ union VVCS as a lawyer in 1993.

Louis is secretary of the Dutch Players’ Council, member of the study group Disciplinary Tribunal and the study group Trainings Compensation Youth Players KNVB, lawyer of Soccer Vision, FIFA players’ agent and editor-in-chief of the VVCS magazine De Contractspeler.

Louis used to play waterpolo and is still playing football with Voorschoten ’97. He also completed five marathons: two times in New York and three times in Leiden.
