Brazil won the first edition of the FIFPro América Tournament. In the final, Team Fenapaf beat one of the teams of hosts Chile, Team SIFUP 2. Argentina took the third place.

Brazil and Chile 2 will play the final of the Torneo FIFPro América, the first tournament for out-of-contract players in South America. Chile 1 and Argentina will compete for the third place, while Uruguay and Peru fight for the fifth spot.

It took Daryl Kavanagh just five days to find a new club after he participated in the FIFPro Winter Tournament. The Irish forward signed a contract at Saint Patrick’s Athletic from Dublin.

One week after the successful FIFPro Winter Tournament in Oslo, the next competition is about to kick-off: the Torneo FIFPro América in Chile, for professional footballers in South America looking for a new contract.

Norway, Sweden, Finland and Ireland were extremely well matched last Friday at the first FIFPro Winter Tournament for out-of-contract players held in the Vallhall Arena in Oslo. FIFPro was enthusiastic about the new initiative.

Finland is the winner of the first FIFPro Winter Tournament. In the final in Oslo´s Vallhall, Team JPY narrowly beat Norway. Ireland secured the third place after playing the bornze final against Sweden.

Finland and Norway will play the final of the first FIFPro Winter Tournament. The Finnish Team JPY beat the Republic of Ireland, while the Norwegian Team NISO proved to be too strong for Sweden.

One day to go before the kick-off of the first FIFPro Winter Tournament. In Oslo, four footballers’ associations created a venue for free agent players to showcase their talents in front of scouts, coaches and clubs.

FIFPro organizes two tournaments this winter: the FIFPro Winter Tournament and the FIFPro America Tournament. The first will take place on Friday 14 January in Norway, the second on 21 and 22 January in Chile.

Liam Kelly, coach of the Irish team PFAI, named his squad for the FIFPro Winter Tournament 2011 in Oslo, Norway on Friday 14 January 2011. The Irish footballers will compete with teams from Finland, Norway and Sweden.

The first FIFPro Tournament in America will take place in Santiago de Chile. On the 21st and 22nd of January footballers without a contract from five countries will participate in this competition.
