MLS and MLS Players Union to continue to negotiate

Major League Soccer and the Major League Soccer Players Union announced that the two organizations have agreed to continue to negotiate through February 12, as they work towards reaching a new collective bargaining agreement.

Paraguay international striker Cabañas shot

Paraguay international striker Salvador Cabañas was shot in Mexico City. He is critically injured with doctors unable to remove a bullet lodged in his head. Doctors said he was in stable but critical condition.
