Australian players want better football pitches
Australian's footbal pitches need to improve, is the conclusion of the Australian players' union PFA after studying it’s A-League Pitch Rating System. 'Clearly, the players would prefer to see better surfaces at some venues.'

Indian association very pleased to be a member of FIFPro
The Football Players’ Association of India (PFAI) was one of the two new members introduced in Budapest, at the general assembly of FIFPro. Chief executive officer Sumit Mukherjee was very pleased to receive the membership on behalf of the Indian Union.

New Zealand wins Brain Wave Competition 2009
New Zealand are the winners of this years Brain Wave Competition. At the congress in Budapest the proposal of the NZPFA received the most votes from all FIFPro members.

India and Indonesia introduced as new members
FIFPro introduced two new members at the congress in Budapest: the PFAI from India and the APPI from Indonesia. Both Asian unions received a warm welcome from president Gerardo Movilla and secretary general Theo van Seggelen.

Five candidate members and nine observers at congress
With five new candidate members and nine observers FIFPro welcomed a lot of new unions at its congress in Budapest, Hungary.
