Portugal: ‘100 jobs for football players’
The Portuguese professional footballers´ association, the Government, the FA and the Union of Portuguese Mercies (a national solidarity institution) signed a protocol to create 100 jobs for young and former players.

French union condemns Lille’s ‘respect of contract’
The French footballers’ association UNFP reacted angrily to the news that Lille wants to end its contract with Salomon Kalou, the Ivorian international striker who only just last summer signed a three-year contract at the French club.

FIFPro launches project to fight match fixing
FIFPro started its preparations for an education and prevention programme to fight match fixing. To realize this project - which received a European Union grant - FIFPro will cooperate with Birkbeck University and UEFA.

Montenegrin union: ‘Clubs must guarantee solvability’
The professional footballers’ association of Montenegro is working on an initiative to prevent clubs from getting into financial problems during the season and players from not receiving their salaries due to the problems of their clubs.
