Luis Rubiales, President of the Spanish Footballers Association, has warned that either the more than 200 professional players who have not been paid, will be paid, or the 2011-2012 La Liga season will not begin.

Polish players go pink to aid cancer campaign
Professional footballers in the two best Polish leagues will wear pink shoelaces during the upcoming matches in both the Ekstraklasa and First League. They want to raise awareness of the fight against cancer.
