FIFPro, UEFA and FARE start anti-racism operation
The anti-racist East Europe Monitoring Centre starts its operation in Warsaw this month. The newly launched centre will monitor, research and document cases of racism across the region, including EURO 2012 hosts Poland and Ukraine.

First assembly of players' union of Montenegro
The first assembly of the Trade Union of Professional Football Players of Montenegro (TUPFPM) was held on 28 September 2009 in the capital Podgorica. On behalf of FIFPro board member Dejan Stefanovic of Slovenia was present.

Swiss High Court gives Mutu a little bit of hope
The Schweizerisches Bundesgericht (Swiss High Court) has temporarily suspended Adrian Mutu from paying damages to Chelsea. This month the Rumanian striker should have started with the pay off of the 17 million euro he must give to the English club.

Spanish referee stops game due to racist abuse fans
Another new chapter in the fight against racism in football. Last Sunday referee Pino Zamorano halted the match between Real Betis and Cartagena due to misbehaviour of supporters.
