The later President mr J.L. Janssen van Raay had carried out important research for the FIFPro in the early years. In 1967 he published ‘The Legal Position of the Professional Football Player’, in which he gives a complete picture of the social and legal position of the professional player and makes an in-depth study of the legitimacy of the transfer system.
